Any idea which month the USCIS is currently doing now? Is there a specific routine there or the i130s get approved randomly?

IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Service Center : NBC

Consulate : South Africa

Marriage : 2012-09-05

I-130 Sent : 2013-02-02

I-130 NOA1 : 2013-02-16

Case Transfer to NYC Field Office : 2013-03-22

I-130 NOA2: 2013-10-21 (email)

NVC Received Case: 2013-10-23

NVC Case # Assigned: 2013-11-04

AOS & IV Bills Invoiced: 2013-11-07

AOS & IV Bills Appear PAID: 2013-11-13

DS-260 Submitted: 2013-11-18

Hey guys,

Any idea which month the USCIS is currently doing now? Is there a specific routine there or the i130s get approved randomly?

"The USCIS" is several service centers and many local offfices all working separately on cases that come in more or less as they are filed. Your individual case is sure to have factors that cause it to be considered on its own merits and the necessary checks and reviews take however long they take. Yes, the process is abusively long, but believe me, if there was a way to predict USCIS processing, we'd be all over that like ants on a sugar cube. They don't have a clock tick over and say "OK, everyone switch to working on November cases now". It's not random, but there are a lot of variables.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

then how come u find ppl here saying oh the uscis said theyre currently doing sep 2012 now and stuff like that?

When they say "they're working on September now", it's shorthand for "based on what people report here and what I've read elsewhere, September filings are now getting approved, whereas a little while ago there were no approvals from September". It does not mean that only September files are working, or that they have abandoned July or August files, or that a file from October or November might not slip through or be expedited.
