Divorce decree required?

Me (Japanese citizen) and my ex wife (US citizen) divorced a while ago here in Japan.

The way divorce process works in Japan is that it is an entirely non-judicial without the involvement of lawyers or any tribunal.

So there is a certificate says I'm divorced but it is not a decree.

If USCIS does require a decree, I don't know what to do...

Any advice??

Im very unfamiliar with this... But i would call USCIS personally and ask if the document u obtained to prove divorce is acceptable. Im thinking they are aware of differences in cultural diversities and may accept the document? I would hope anyways. Good luck on your journey :)
