The National Visa Center told me that they sent my fiance's approved I-129F petition to the US Embassy in Manila on April 25, 2013. We now have the MNL case number, but have heard nothing new since then. Can we go ahead and schedule a visa interview for her if we pay the MRV fee and have the receipt number? Or do we have to wait for her to receive an appointment letter in the mail from the embassy first? We have tried calling them and keep getting different answers. We really appreciate any help!

We were in the same group. I went online, after paying the deposit, and scheduled our interview. My Fiancee is currently at her medical exam in Manila. I found online to be quite easy. You have to creat a profile answer the questions, the K1 Visa is listed under the Immigrant Visa section. That tripped me up for a few minutes. You will need to email yourself a copy of the interview letter from the same site. Just take your time and look at the different "buttons" on the page. It took me a bit to figure out how to navigate around the site. After I got the gist of the site it was fairly easy to do. After paying the visa fee you are supposed to be able to go online to schedule the interview. I had trouble the day of paying, but the next morning it was no problem. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/

Good Luck!
