I have seen on this site where the petitioner has stated that he was able to attend the interview at the Moscow embassy, however I see on the embassy website that the petitioner is not allowed to attend. Is there any members here that can shed some light on this discrepancy?

Thank you.

I'm in the same boat, my gal will be called in for an interview at some point and I (with my business visa) intend to be there. My I-129F was approved a few days ago so it looks like the process is now going to move rather quickly. Time to feather a nest for my "жена"!

If U have received your NOA2 then your papers get sent to National VISA CENTER---- a week after that,or so, your papers get shipped by DHL to Moscow ( you can track your shipment) (look up DHL shipment on this site)--------after Moscow recieves they will send an e-mail to you and your fiance w intructions for scheduling-----THEN you can schedule.

So we cant start calling NVC a week after approval for the number? This is suggested for other filers...we cant schedule online with the number assigned to our case? We have to actually wait for the paperwork in hand?

HI Sure you can call NVC to get the "MOS" number. And I've heard about others that have "scheduled" once they got the number but there is a risk!!

If you don't have your medical stuff--then you have to get that 1st (Use IOM).. So all in all you will have to coordinate some stuff. It's possible your 1st date will need to be re-scheduled. I think they only allow one (1) re-schedule for free. If you have to re-schedule more than once they may charge you again.

When NVC gets the stuff they assign the MOS# within a couple of days--then they ship it in a couple of days. Then it takes DHL about two days to get to MOSCOW. Very soon after that you get the e-mail. If you haven't done the medical I would get that going now.

Good luck Mike

I was under the impression that she could wait until arriving in Moscow a couple of days before the interview to do the medical, is that not the case?

Hi 1st Check out a "checklist" that I made and posted on RUB Forum--it is absolutely complete as regards everything you will need.

2nd) Yes of course you can wait until she gets to Moscow to do medical but it needs to be coordinated to occur before the interview.

Check the embassy instructions
