Flight attendant disciplined in breast-feeding incident

I have never understood how anyone can be offended by a woman breastfeeding her child. It is one of the most natural things in the world and, IMO, should not be something that is frowned upon. What is the matter with people?

Same argument can be said for taking a poop....

Just bustin chops cos I also feel the woman should not have been asked to leave the plane....ESPECIALLY with the flight being 3 hours late!

Yeah, if someone pooped next to me on the plane then yes, I'd be a tad annoyed. If a woman breastfed next to me...erm no, not offended at all. I'd rather she fed the kid rather than it start screaming the whole way cos it was hungry.....

Some people feel the same disgust at seeing breastfeeding...I'm not saying I'm one of them....but I also don't think modesty is wrong either. This woman in particular shouldn't have been bothered by the flight attendant in that manner, yet at the same time, I really don't see what the probbo is with covering up and not imposing your beliefs on another. Yes, it's all natural....hence my comment about pooping...it is too, so what's that mean? lol

It's ALL about compromise. And from what I can tell, neither of them wanted to in this case.

Being grounded in the airplane for 3 hours probably had a lot to do with her response to the flight attendent and the choice of words can make all the difference.

"Ma'am, would like this blanket to cover yourself with?"

vs.

"Ma'am, please cover yourself with this blanket."
