Do you have a relative in the Philippines that can assist your parents in filling up the DS-230 forms? Just have that relative write down his or her name, address & indicate whether a relative, friend or other on Q 34.

Yes, your parents will send all of their civil documents & the signed & dated Part I (page 2) & leave the Part II unsigned since this will be signed in front of the CO on interview day.

When your mom & dad go to NSO to get their birth certificates & marriage certificates, have them request certified copies of your birth certificates & send that together with the rest of the documents to you. You then assemble their separate IV packets with the bar coded cover sheets that you will print out from the payment portal after you have paid the IV payments.

Well, I had my sister assist them in filling up the form on the computer. I just didn't go the route of filling it up myself. Plus, the mailing it back & forth seems like a long wait in my opinion.

Just set up skype chat time with you & your parents together with a friend or relative that will fill up the forms on the computer. Go through each questions in the form one by one. Afterwards if your parents have a printer that has a scanner in it, print & scan the forms & send it to you by EMAIL, you then proof read & if all the entries are correct then you tell them to send those forms with the civil documents in the MAIL to you.

miajaz,

That's a quite longer for not hearing from the NVC. Usually, it takes up to 14 days for the case number and Invoice Identification number to be generated by the NVC. You need to call them immediately!! Don't wait too long!

Here is the NVC number: 1-603-334-0700. You will be asked for the USCIS Receipt number. If the case has been assigned, you will be given the case # and IIN. Be ready to provide also the email address where all the correspondences will be sent. I hope this help.
