NBC case transfer to local office

Hello folks..

I am a February 130 filer. I originally petitioned in August for a 129F, but we got married afterwards, so that petition was cancelled and a new one was filed accordingly.

Here are the USCIS errors with the current filing:

Case Status can not be found.. nothing new here and I see it is happening to a lot of people.

Spelled my wife's name wrong.. putting "Jane" instead of her real name.. sounds like a jane doe field someone didnt fill in correctly.

Long story short I finally passed the 45 day mark to put in a service request to fix her name.

The officer stated that they have a technical issue and the case can not be found error is quite common (albeit that I had no problem with the 129F0). Also, in the process the officer indicated that the case was transferred to my local office on March 13, 2013.. sounds like good news rite? WRONG! (I say the officer "indicated" due to all the misinformation that has come out of there recently)

I went to make an info pass appointment with the office to find out that they are relocating and will close for two weeks at the end of April, opening up in May at their new facility.

There were NO appointments available!!!

I wish you all luck with your pending petitions and if you are in the san fernando valley area.. good luck to us all, we are going to need it!

I will continue to attempt to make an appointment to see what the status is since I can not see it online.. I know it is futile, but who knows, maybe it will finally land on someone's radar.
