I fall $3000 below annual poverty limit on annual tax as a self-employed person.

I have a fair to good financial picture however with some savings to discuss:

We submitted evidence to prove that I have more than sufficient assets to supplement my income.

The requirement is to prove that the cash value of the assets is at least 3 times of the difference.

I definately meet this requirement

Question: Will we pass the CR1 interview without a I864 co-sponsor?

Background Info: NVC already passed the case to US Embassy Guangzhou and stated that they would leave the decision regarding the poverty line issue.

Any one out there have experience with this?

Footnote: my business is growing at about 7% per year baed on last 4 years tax returns!

You should get a co sponsor just in case. They may just look at your gross receipts and feel comfortable. Frankly you can also refile your tax return and don't declare all your deductions. You will pay a little more in taxes but you will show higher income. I am a financial advisor so I can understand your situation, immigration is not known for logic. I dont think you can get them to pay ettention to the 7% growth of your business. If you have assets this will also help. Since your application has passed NVC already, you should look into a sponsor now. You can add a sponsor at the interview intake, they may take it there or your spouse can bring the cosponsor papers to the interview and hopefully they wont be needed.
