I think we need an informed discussion on this.

Besides the right to work and the right to travel freely in and out of the US, what (if any) rights do Permanent Residents possess?

And is there any difference between the rights and priveledges of a Conditional Permanent Resident and a Legal Permanent Resident?

rebeccajo,

A Conditional Permanent Resident is a Lawful Permanent Resident. The only difference is that a Conditional PR must apply to remove the condition during the 90-day period preceding the 2nd anniversary of gaining LPR status, or they will lose the status.

So that's the ONLY difference?

Just lately I got to wondering if there might be some other differences.

rebeccajo,

That's it. Read the references in meauxna's post, which kim&james gave you the link to.

Rebecca, thanks for starting this threat and Thanks to Kim&James for the link!

Just what I was looking for! :star:

Conditional Permanent Resident since September 20, 2006

Conditions removed February 23, 2009

I am extraordinarily patient,

provided I get my own way in the end!
