Hi

I had my F3 visa interview at Mumbai on 6th December and CO was satisfied with our interview. However She said that my case will be held back under 221g as my petitioner is temporariy in India and his proof of domicile is required. I submitted the required proof along with our passports to VFS Ahmedabad on 7th Februry 2013. I have not herd any update on my case. I shall appreciate if anyone passed through similar situation, please let me know how many days it takes to get back original passports.

it's taking around 60 days to clear 221g pending cases.

I understand that. But my point is they should not hold back passports for such a long period. Let them complete administrative processing and once they take a decision , they should call for passports for visa stamping. If some one wants to travel for urgent business purpose, how can he get back the passports ?

You can send a e-mail to ustraveldocs and request for your passport to be return and they will send it back to you.
