I can't help wondering if there are going to be any consequences for us that have to go to Caracas soon after all that's happening over there now.

I don't think you have to be worried about that. I got my interview appointment April 18th one hour after they announced the death of Hugo Chavez. If there are any security concerns I am sure they will let us know.
