Hello all,

My priority date is in Oct 2012. Did my fingerprints in late Oct. Was placed in-line for interview scheduling end of Nov. On Jan 27th, I received interview scheduled letter for the first week of March. The next day, Jan 28th, 2013 I get another letter saying that my interview was been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. My case is not special by any means. lived in the U.S for 20 years. Got my green card through a company sponsorship and applied 90 days prior to the 5 years on the green card.

Anybody else got their interview canceled in the Chicago office for the first week of March. Trying to find out if this is something specific to mine or a general thing that has to do with the building/office closure that day.

Any insight is appreciated.

Regards,

February is presidents month, days for for federal employees, most likely a clerical error is over scheduling, happens all the time with the USCIS, nothing to do with you. Just watch your mail box. Pestering can cause you to get a latter date.

I called USCIS. I spoke to the person who answered the phone and she just told me what was online. I was transferred to a second-level support. The lady told me that it could've been canceled due to a scheduling issue or it could've been that the officer saw something in my file that was not complete and decided to delay the interview or it could've been the supervisor had noticed something about the file and decided to do more work on it. At the end she just told me to wait.

I will wait couple more weeks, if nothing happens I will make an infopass.
