Hi all

Just would like to let you all know how my interview went.

My interview was scheduled for 8am, however, I did not got seen until 10:30 or so...

After you go through security (make sure you don't have any electronics with you, electronic car keys or even a phone charge cable - I had to throw away my one)!

I was called to go to a window where they check if all your documents are in order. For some reason, my DS230 Part I got lost, and even knowing I had triple copies of everything else, that was the only one I did not have with me, so I had to do one by hand...the woman was not a nice person, told me to hurry up doing the form (at that point I was so nervous that I could not even spell right). Once I finished, she took the form back and told me that I have a horrible writing and for those kind of forms you need to have a good writing and that was making her job so difficult....SO PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR FORMS! Just in case...so from this you can see how these paperwork check went...anyway...

Once I paid her and brought her the receipt, I set and waited to be called for the interview. The guy was a very very nice person. I have no complaints whatsoever from him! One point I just could not talk and he just said "it's ok, don't worry"...

Anyway...my visa was denied due to over 1 year of Unlawful Presence..we knew that was going to happen and we have now to file for a Waiver...Unfortunately my journey have not ended yet, and it seems like it is going to be another 5 months until I hear some decision. On the meantime, I am here with the kids and my husband is way in America as he needs to work.

It is very hard, but I believe is for the best of our family future.

Hope you all have a good luck and bring copies of everything - just in case!

God Bless you all!

Sorry to hear of your denial. Hope you fix the unlawful presence issue and good luck next time!

Thanks for sharing your experiences. My husband will interview at London as well and we will also be denied and have to apply for a waiver so I understand completely.

Best of luck with your waiver!
