My wife's interview at the consulate in Juarez is coming up soon. Along with her appointment letter, we received documentation referring to an ASC (multiple locations) appointment and also a medical exam only given in Juarez. However, neither one referenced the other so I am a bit confused.

Are these 2 separate appointments that must be done before her interview? For the exam in Juarez, does she just show up the day before the interview or does she call to make an appointment? Thanks in advance.

Hi! :)

They are 2 different appointments.

She has to go to the ASC before the interview to get her fingerprints and all the biometric info.

As well the medical exam will be done before the interview. There are 2 places in Ciudad Juarez (the ones approved by the consulate) where she can go to get her medical exams. What I‘ve read in the Mexico regional forum and some reviews is that she has to be there very early in the morning, because there are long waiting lines and not all the times they have the results the same day. Maybe will be convenient that she goes to get the exams 2 days before the interview (in case her results are not ready the same day).

Once that she has the results, and she went already to the ASC, then it‘s time to go for the interview at the consulate.

Good luck!!! :)

P.S. For the ASC you have to get an appointment I think...maybe she can call the Consulate and ask about it, if she doesn‘t have an appointment yet.

Thanks! She actually has her ASC appointment scheduled for tomorrow 1/15/13 in Guadalajara. Her interview is 1/30/13. Would that be enough time for her ASC info to be processed and sent to Juarez by her interview date?

Regarding medical exam in Juarez, I'm assuming she just shows up early with no need to make an appointment.

Oh that‘s great!!. I think its plenty of time between ASC and interview at consulate. I have read a case of someone who just went to ASC in mexico city 3 days before the interview at Juarez and it was all fine.

I think its not necessary the appointment at the Clinica for the exams, but maybe someon who has been there already can give you a more accurate answer ;)

I have been reading other users reviews (mas vale prevenir... ) but my case is still stuck at VSC :( . But in the meanwhile I have been reading what comes next to be prepared for that hehe.

Good luck!!! :)
