Hello all,

I am the petitioner and filed for my husband under F2A category, it is being upgraded to IR1. He used to live in UAE and when NVC asked for civil docs back in June 2011, we submitted PCC from both Indian Embassy in UAE and UAE police. He later moved permanently to India. Upon informing NVC of the change of address, they asked us for a new PCC from India which we submitted in July 2012. We are expecting his immigration interview in the next couple of months. Are we required to collect another PCC from UAE for the interview?

Thanks for your replies.

Hi,

Check if the PCC from UAE has an expiry date, like 6 months or 1 year. What was the reason they asked for a new PCC from India? If you know, you might be able to relate whether they'll need a new one or not. if you did it in June 2011, perhaps you do need a new one.

Hi,

Thank you for that thought.

The PCC from UAE expired in Oct 2011. The reason NVC asked for a new PCC from India is because of his change of address to India, at least that is what it triggered from what I know. At that time PCC from UAE was already expired, but they only asked for a PCC from India.
