Since we will be filing through the Montreal consulate, I understand we will need to file the DS-260 electronically, and I can tell from reading the wiki that it is similar enough to the DS-230 that that can be used as a guide. However, I've read (and now I can't for the life of me remember where and google isn't helping) that the DS-260 requires more information than the DS-230--i.e. specific dates for former residences, past employment and education, etc. We can figure all of that out fairly easily, but documenting all of my husband's trips to the US in the last ten years is going to be trickier. Since he is in Canada, we normally drive across the borders, and we have about 25 visits (for him only) over the span of 3.5 years. His passport has never been stamped on entry. Do we still need to do the extra detective work to figure out the exact dates of all of them, or can we just write month and year without triggering an RFE?

On a related note, what visa should we say he was admitted under? Canada is not part of the VWP, so it's not that. Any help would be appreciated!

I too am having this slight problem with visits, however, please note, it's only the past (5) visits to the US, not all of them.

I think I have an idea of when these visits were over the past 2 years, but I'm going to write them down and confirm with the CBP when we cross this Christmas. I'm hoping they will be able to aid me in that process.

Also, yes, they require the exact dates for all of the Canadian citizen's addresses since 16 years old.

There's no way I will be able to provide that information exactly, but we will do our best to estimate.

Saylin has been very helpful answering questions on the DS-260 for me and this is one she mentioned just the other day.

If you google DS-260 Last 5 Visits, you'll see stuff about it come up.

And if you want to look at screen shots of the 260 you can go here-
