Police Certificates

Hi there,

We are still awaiting our NOA2 but I want to start gathering everything together so that we are prepared. I'm a little confused about where I need police certificates for. I have not been living at my current address for more than 6 months, however I have lived in 2 different parts of Scotland for a duration of over 6 months (over the age of 16) Does that mean I need police checks from BOTH counties that I have resided in for over 6 months? Also, I spent 7 months in Australia - however, when talking about living in another country it says you only need a police check if you've been there for over 12 months (which I was not)

And finally, how do I go about getting these police checks? Do I just drop an email to someone and ask or is there a process? (I'm struggling to find info)

I would ask in the UK regional forums, as obtaining police certificates differ from country to country. Generally, most consulates will want a police certificate from anywhere you've lived for 6 months plus.
