Hi Everyone, my wife hasn't had her medical yet, but we suspect there's a good chance she'll have to do the sputum. Her interview is scheduled for Dec 17 so if she has to do the sputum she will obviously not be medically cleared before her interview. Is it better to show up to the interview without the completed medical results, or reschedule the interview? I wasn't sure what would happen if she was to show up to the interview without the medical results (would they interview her, tell her to reschedule, etc.) Thanks for any advice.

She could go to USEM but they will not attend to her. The med results should be at the embassy at the time of interview. If you're worried, go to St Luke's now or next week and see if she'll pass or needs the treatment. If yes then reschule but if luckily you don't need to then keep it.

Good luck!!

Thanks for the response. She has a scar on her lung from pneumonia that shows up on these x-rays. She gets x-rayed every year at work and the scar hasn't changed in appearance in 20 years. She had a culture done way back in the day when the scar was first noticed and was negative. We called SLEC and asked them if they consider the prior x-rays in making a judgment of whether or not a scar is suspicious or not. Even though you're required to bring your previous x-rays the person we spoke to said scar=sputum, no exceptions. So when we reschedule the interview would it be good practice to just guess when the results will be in and shoot for an interview 9 or 10 weeks later? I want to lock in a good interview slot if possible.

She need to be done in medical before she go to embassy for interview coz they check it outside the embassy, if she had a problem with her medical you need to reschedule it.
