Hello all! Merhaba!

I'm the beneficiary, Turkish citizen. Our K-1 interview in Ankara is coming up. My fiance is actually coming to Turkey in that time, so we wanted to find out if we can do the interview together. I e-mailed the consulate explaining the situation. I was told no, though.

Is this something to be worried about? We should have a strong file, yet I'm deeply scared of any AP. I read the embassy reviews and some of them are too good to be true, it's such a relief.

I guess I am just rambling with nervousness, please forgive me. :bonk:

Sweetie don't worry. Everything will be just fine. Just talk a lot about your separate pasts together. Just in case they give a tough interview. Chances are they won't. Have original copies of everything at interview and extra evidence just in case. You can also bring his passport into the interview with you so they know he's outside. They really won't allow him in no matter what. It's incredibly rare they do since they changed their policies. Don't let the CO trip you up. Be sure of your answers and make it clear you are in love.

You''ll do great!! Good luck and I am fairly certain you're going home with your fiance for Christmas ;)

Wow hun this message was great! It's great to know that... Thank you so very much. I was thinking of bringing his purchased flight ticket (that shows he arrives 2 days after the interview) as part of my evidence... and some more like photos and logs like you suggested. Okay, I'll do my best to calm down now! I feel like a hysterical chicken that had an energy drink.

I completely understand. It's a difficult process. Just give the CO everything you can and you'll do fine. Don't be nervous. Be calm and repeat repeat repeat you're marrying the man of your dreams because you are in love. :)

I'll go ahead and print a "Go Team Castro!" t-shirt haha no I'm kidding. But really, I submitted everything possible there was. Well so I thought, now I'll dig into our Facebook messages as well :)

I trust you hun, thank you so much!

Thanks Cassie! You ladies know it :)

I can't wait to come back to this thread with good news. Also the highlight of my day was finding out it was very very rare to get a permission for fiance to attend. So no more worries on that department.
