Question about an Approved I-130

Hi everyone; need some answers if anyone can help!! Our I-129F was approved My husbands interview is set for November 16th, the question I have is that we just found out today that our I-130 was approved back in April 2006 we just got the email today, I am very confused on what to do. I called USCIS and was told that now that the I-130 was approved it automatically cancels out the I-129F is this true and if so I was also told that i do not need to send the packet for the I-129F now that all he has to do is let them know at the interview which they will be informed before the interview that our I-130 was approved and if approved be issued the K-3 Visa and once he gets here then we apply for the I-485 Adjust of Status for permanent residence can someone anyone tell me what we should do please we never received the approval notice for the I-130 they did a request to find out what happened why we didn't receive it Thank You and goodluck and God Bless

Hold on, if the I-130 was approved way back in April, NVC would have been sending you all kinds of stuff long before now! You'd have got the choice of agent form, the affidavit of support fee, the DS forms...

I'd seriously have a look into that, because if its lost and you don't respond to any of that then they'll cancel it after a year.

I-130 does not get one a K3 visa, the I-129F does. I-130 gets to a CR1 visa, and when you have that, there is no need for AOS after you arrive in the US. I think the person you spoke with was confused. Most of them are, thats why we call it the mis-information line.

An approved I-130 doesn't cancel out an I-129F either. Only if the I-130 process completes and makes it to the consulate before the I-129F would it be cancelled.

I can't see how your I-130 petition would have been approved back in April and this is the first you heard of it. I would make an Infopass appointment to talk to someone who knows what they're doing to find out what's going on.

I just looked at your timeline and it says you only sent in your I-130 petition in March.

I find it very hard to believe that it would have been approved in April!
