I-485 review

Hi VJ members !

well, i am planning to pick up medical results and form and submit the 485 packet tomorrow ! i am just ready to get it out of the way.

for those who don't know my situation- i had already submitted my I130 as we were planning on doing a stand alone then things changed for us so we are doing an adjustment. I will include a copy of the 797C notice of receipt of my I130 in this packet as well.

Please find the enclosed I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) and I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) for beneficiary's name. The I-130 petition was submitted previously and now filing for an I-485 as the situation changed. Please find the attached receipt of the petition (form I797C).

- I-693 Medical Examination and Vaccination records (Completed by a Civil Surgeon sealed in an envelope)

-I-765 ( Application for Employment)

I-864 Affidavit of Support

-include signed I-1864

-Employment letter

-IRS tax return transcripts for 2011,2010,2009

-Pay stubs from my two jobs

Don't forget to include Form G-1145 E-Notification of Application/PetitionAcceptance.

Also the birth certificate is in english? otherwise would be necessary to include translation as well.

I don't know what type of visa you had but would be good to include copy of your visa

Also I would suggest you read through the instructions for form I-765 it requires two passport-style photographs, copy of form I-94 (front and back).

I also included copy of my visa and passport biographical page but if I were you I would go through the instructions to see whether you need to include more documents or not.

Are you also filling I-131 Application for Travel Document?

I did include the G1145 e notification in my packet but forgot to add it to my cover letter, will do that !

As far as the birth certificate, its already in english so no need for translation

for the entry visa, its a B2 visa and a copy is already included as i copied the entry stamp and the visa is on the second page so that is included.

for the form I 765 - i'll read the instructions and add anything needed from what you mentioned.

We are not filing for I131 for travel as we want to have the green card in hand before we travel anywhere.

so i guess i completely didn't realize there were two pics, I94 needed copies, and passport bio page...i guess it wasn't on the check list that i used?....

I did those and updated my cover sheet.

anyone else has any suggestions reviews?
