Hi everyone.

I'm a permanent resident/GC holder who applied for a reentry permit almost two years ago so I could go back to college in the Philippines (where it's a ton more cheaper to study). My reentry permit is set to expire on January 2013, so I'm planning to make the trip back to the US on December 8 to apply for my 2nd one.

I have a few questions regarding my upcoming trip and the pending application I have to make:

1.) I got my first reentry permit sent to me by my folks in the US (I requested that USCIS send it to their address), and all I got was this travel document that looks like a passport. Is that all I'll need to present at the POE aside from my GC, or will they ask to see something else?

2.) Assuming I apply as soon as I get to my folks' place in the US, how long would it take for me to get my biometrics appointment? I've already forgotten how long it took for me the first time around, but ideally, I need to go back to the Philippines by the 2nd week of January, since I'll be having my midterm exams then.

3.) Let's say a biometrics appointment usually takes more than a month to be given out. Is there any way to speed that up?

4.) Do they give another 2 years for your 2nd consecutive reentry permit, or do they scale back on the number of years they give you? I have 2 more years of study left, and it would be ideal if they gave me another 2 years so I can wrap everything up nicely and resume my residence in the US after everything is said and done.

Thanks for all and any help/information you can give me. I apologize in advance if these have been asked in the past.
