my wife is in the phillipines and im starting my journey to petition her via I-130. i am in california.

on question number 22 states "your relative is in the united states and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at USCIS in ______________________? should i answer this or leave it blank since she is in the philippines at this time.?

then the continuation statement is, if your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in _______________________?

should i answer Manila, phillipines since my wife is in the philippines?

guys forgive me for asking so many questions, i appreciate any help.

For the first part I answered 'not in the USA' to make it clear what the situation was.

For the second part, yes. Unless you expect your wife to be residing in another country by the time the visa interview takes place and she would prefer to apply there.

Sorry, now I am a bit afraid. The section states to "Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status."

So I left it blank as the wife is not in the U.S.

Should I begin to worry?
