Among likely voters, Obama is ahead of Romney in Ohio 52 percent to 44 percent.

...

Slightly more than half of all Ohio voters — 53 percent — give Obama positive marks for in dealing with the economy, with more — 56 percent approving of his overall performance.

...

Obama holds double-digit leads over Romney as the one earning more voter trust on five other issues, including Medicare, Medicaid, taxes, social issues and international affairs.

...

Romney has the edge among white voters, while Obama wins 91 of non-white likely voters in Ohio.

The President is moving past that 50% mark in ever more battleground states. He's pulled even with Rmoney on the question of who is better at handling the economy - the only trump card Rmoney ever had. It's still 40+ days until election day but with consumer confidence on the rise and Romney continuing to open his mouth, it would take a significant event for Obama to lose. Not sure if anyone else has noticed but Republicans are actually talking more about 2016 than 2012. To quote former political director of the Iowa Republican partyCraig Robinson: "I hate to say this, but if Ryan wants to run for national office again, he'll probably have to wash the stench of Romney off of him." Those are pretty harsh words that one would not expect to be used against the Republican they expect to become President.
