NEW DELHI IMMIGRANT VISA PROCESS Changed or Not?

I spoke to a customer service representative by calling calling the phone number provided on the ustraveldocs.com.in website. The entire system seems to be confusing because when I asked about the new procedures that K1 fiance (non-immigrant) visa applicants should follow for the NEW DELHI EMBASSY, I continuously got different answers from each representative that I spoke to.

During my first call the representative told me that the online service is only for immigrant visa applicants and that K1 applicants should follow the packet 3, packet 4 procedure (same as before). He also told me that documents have to be submitted at a local VFS office before the interview. However, I decided to call again and after speaking to another representative, I was told to follow the new online procedure and simply make an appointment online at ustraveldocs.com.in and go in with all the documents on the day of the interview because documents can no longer be submitted at VFS.

I hope someone here can help me with this ! Is there anyone that has applied for a K1 VISA at the NEW DELHI embassy..it would be really helpful if we can get some help because nothing seems to make sense at this point?

Welcome to this frustrating process.

My wife submitted documents to VFS couple of days prior before new process took place. My wife called US docs today and asked about new process. Guy told my wife to go to the VFS and get all the documents back. WTH? Its been more than ten days she submitted the documents. I called New Delhi Embassy and asked them and they said no issue I called US travel. docs million time and answer was okay and now there answer changed again. My wife Interview is next week. VFS gonna keep that paper work and did not mail it. I highly doubt that but My wife had to travel 7 hour to go to VFS office to sort this stuff out. I am done with this stupid stuff and stupid changes.

I am in the same boat now. What did you end up doing? My fiance is planning on just bringing all of the documents in to the interview... Let me know!
