Hello everyone,

My interview is over on 10th sept and consulate told "visa issued and will be couriered it in 3 days" - but I am going to the Mumbai VFS everyday and everyday they tell me that passport is not yet arrived. On the tracking VFS website it shows "Your Passport is under process at U.S Embassy/Consulate."

Is there anyone who have gone through the same? Usually it takes max 3 days for counter collection of passport in MUMBAI??????

Please guide us on this. Loosing our patience. :-(

Call DOS and check status. Ours said the same thing even though we were approved at the interview, but our case randomly went into AP for 2 weeks and DOS was the only one that could confirm. Call them for an update.

Don't worry.

It took Mumbai embassy 7 working days to finally issue our K-1 visa. I received my passport two weeks after the interview. From looking at recent K-1 timelines, you'll find it's normal for them to take 1 - 2 weeks to issue K-1 visas after a successful interview.

DOS can't check the status ( pending administrative process ) unless visa is printed and placed in the passport, status change to approved visa.

Did you still got your visa after your case randomly went into AP for 2 weeks ??

I think Mumbai Embassy takes bit longer to issue K1 visa compare to IR-1/CR-1 visa. We had our visa interview on 7th (Friday) and they shipped visa package on next working day 10th (Monday). You should receive yours soon.

06/14/2012 : AOS Package Mailed to NVC

06/18/2012 : AOS Package Delivered to NVC

06/19/2012 : DS-3032 Accepted

06/21/2012 : IV Bill Issued

06/21/2012 : IV Bill Paid

06/21/2012 : IV Package Mailed to NVC

06/22/2012 : IV Bill Marked as "PAID" in NVC System

06/22/2012 : IV Package Delivered to NVC

06/25/2012 : AOS Accepted by NVC

06/29/2012 : IV Accepted by NVC

06/29/2012 : Case Complete at NVC

08/01/2012 : Interview Date Assigned and Case Forwarded from NVC to Mumbai Consulate

09/07/2012 : Interview at Mumbai Consulate (Result: Approved!)

09/11/2012 : Received Visa in Mail at home

09/22/2012 : POE at Houston, TX (IAH)
