Hi All,

I was admitted back in the US with my combo card. Btw, for those who are anxious about the combo card or concerned about not been able to get back in the US, let me assure you that the process is pretty smooth. I was concerned because I was going home in Africa and did not know if the security folks at the airport in Africa would let me in the plane with my combo card. To my greatest surprise they knew what it was and the whole experience what pretty smooth.

Fast forward, at the airport in the US the officer stamp my passport and wrote paroled until September 2013, does that mean I can get in and out until 09/2013 without any problem? on my I-131 I requested multiple trips.

I look forward to your answers

Good Day!

The "paroled until" date the officer wrote in your passport governs how long you are allowed to remain in the US on this trip. Of course your adjustment of status should be complete before then, rendering it moot.

The expiry date on your I-512 is what affects whether you can travel. Your advance parole needs to be valid when you re-enter.

Spouse-based AOS from out-of-status H-1B, May - Aug 2012

Removal of conditions, Aug - Nov 2014
