Hi there:

Please let me know if I stand any chance of getting EB1-OR I140 approved based on the following credentials:

(1) PhD in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University (GPA 4/4), B. Tech from IIT Guwahati

(2) 4 years of experience as a researcher in a well known medical device company

(3) Developed new techniques that received best corporate award among all divisions of the company

(4) 2 journal papers in peer-reviewed journals (with 24 and 7 citations respectively)

(5) 6 conference papers and presentations

(6) 5 patents pending with USPTO

(7) Member of Phi Kappa Phi, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi honour societies

(8) Merit Scholarship – Human Resource Development, Govt. of India

(9) 8 strong recommendation letters (4 from my graduate school, 2 from my company colleagues, and 1 from company R&D VP, 1 from internship in Switzerland)

Negative points:

(1) No awards outside the company

I would be interested in different (and blunt) opinions from different people. If you feel that the application would be strong, that would be great to hear. But if anybody feels that the application would be weak, I would be interested to know what areas I should try to improve so that I could file the petition as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance...
