Our appointment is August 17. My son needs to leave for school on the 15th. Instead of requesting a rescheduled appointment would it be possible to try to do a walk in? Anyone had a successful early walk in at Waukegan IL? How does it work? Do we just show up and what time of the day is best?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I think it depends on the local office and how busy they are.

I'm in ATL and I was easily able to do an early walk-in last week. Others haven't been so fortunate. I landed in on a day when they weren't busy, and I was in and out in 15 minutes.

If the support center isn't too far from you, you might as well just try. If they turn you away, they might be able to tell you IF they take walk-ins at all and/or when the best time might be. Before I tried mine I called the 800 number but they were no help in that regard. For me, it is a 70-mile round trip. I happened to be in the vicinity one day last week, so I brought my stuff and took a chance, and was successful.

Hope this helps,
