Closing all tax loopholes would more than balance the budget in 2013.

A variant of Alinsky's rule # 10. Tell a lie long enough and it becomes the truth.

I see you have picked up a new obsession. Congratulations!

As for the point I made - it's actually quite accurate. We are looking at a $1.2TN deficit vis-à-vis roughly $1.3TN in spending through the tax code - a.k.a. tax expenditures. Stop spending through the tax code and the budget deficit is gone.

"Spending through the tax code" is Orwellian and manipulative language. You should be ashamed of yourself. Or maybe you'd be capable of shame if you weren't a liberal.

How can that be, if current law, i.e., the CBO baseline budget for 2013, assumes the Obama extension of the tax cuts will expire on Janunary 1st and we will have a $1.3T deficit for 2013?

It's a lie. They will just keep saying it though until the end of time.

The CBO baseline budget does not have a 1.3TN deficit for 2013. Where did you get that idea? And what does that have to do with spending through the tax code?
