I'm getting ready for my fiancee to go to Juarez. This is what I have so far. Am I missing anything?

1) I-134 Affidavit of Support With Tax Returns and Co-Sponsor

2) Intent to Marry form (USC)

3) Intent to Marry form (fiancee)

4) 2 Identical Copies of DS 156, expiring in 2010

5) 2 Identical Copies of DS 156K, expiring in 2010

6) Of Course I will fax or e-mail a copy of the appointment letter

7) a fax or e-mail of the NOA 2

8) proof of relationship including 8 or so trips to Acapulco within past 2 years with pictures

9) I am going to send her my entire original I-129F submission although I think it will only confuse her because she doesn't speak much English and I do not think the consular officer will ask for it

10) An original and a copy of foreign fiancee's birth certificate

Am I missing anything? I still have about 2 months to go cause NVC has not received my case yet.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

i have another question: I have a 2x2 recent picture of myself. She has one 2x2 recent picture of herself.

1) How many 2x2 pictures do I, the USC, need to submit?

2) From my understanding, at the medical examination they will take a 2x2 picture. So will my fiancee use the picture from medical and the one that she has as the 2 pictures?

Just a few things:

1. Make sure the DS 156 is the online version so that it generates the barcode, and make sure the DS156K is unsigned (she'll sign it at CDJ)

2. Her Banamex receipt

3. Her medical results

4. Her passport

5. Your original birth certificate and a copy, and her original plus copy

6. Copy of everything you submitted with the I-129F

7. 2 passport size photos of each of you

8. Your co-sponsor's tax transcripts (3 yrs)

9. Make sure her Intent to Marry is unsigned and has a more current date than when you submitted it in the I-129F

Two more ?'s:

1) Is it 2 separate and totally different passport-sized photos or can it be 2 identical copies?

2) I have 2 original birth certificates in my house and one photocopy. One birth certificate is in really good condition and I prefer to keep it that way by not mailing it to me SO in Mexico. The problem is my other original birth certificate is kinda falling apart! It has the raised seal but it is folded about 5 times and has some cracks in the paper. Should I give her the really good copy or will it be fine to give her the messed up, but still original birth certificate?

As for your birth certificate info, I would probably send in the good original. If CDJ ends up keeping it, you could just get another one for $25 or so (I can't remember how much they cost).

BTW, I posted a review of Juarez (of sorts). I made it from 2 e-mails that Ruth sent me during the process, so it's not an actual review per se, but it does give some idea of what can happen there. Let's just say that we are very glad that is behind us now...

The interview and all conversations are in Spanish, right???

I don't speak from experience- but from reading this thread, many people have said that their fiances completed the interview in Spanish. I heard that they sometimes give people the choice, but people have said not to worry if their fiance does not speak English...

That's right, interviews are in Spanish. There were so many people on this forum who were worried about that since their fiance/es didn't speak much English. Caityrose, I'm glad you've finished reading this whole thing recently! I finished a few months ago and have already forgotten some things...

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are going to have a big religious ceremony in Mexico this summer (we just had a quick civil ceremony here in the U.S.) So we are looking at honeymoon destinations in Mexico. We really wanted to go to Cancun, but its hurricane season during August, :( so we are trying to decide where to go.

Do any of you recommend any nice beaches?

Hi Guys, how is everyone doing?

I'm back because I'm not really sure about how to proceed with my dilemma with Edgar. As you all know we were denied due to Edgar saying he smoked weed at this medical - duh? Anyway - he is banned for 3 years until we can apply again.

I don't know if I have to submit all the papers all over again or if the case is till open or what. I don't know what we have to present at the next interview etc. We were going to get papers from the doctor proving that he has been in counseling and taking drug tests from the time of the failed interview up until he can go back again - in hipes that that will be all we will need to get the approval to get married.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I just don't want this to get screwed up again - if we get denied again, I don't know what we are going to do.

March 15, 2007 - I-129F Sent

March 20, 2007 - NOA1 Received

March 23, 2007 - Touched, April 4, 2007 - Touched , April 5, 2007 - Touched

April 18, 2007 - RFE Email received (waiting for snailmail to see what it is they need)

April 23, 2007 - Received RFE in the mail, mailed out RFE to USCIS using express mail, will get there tomorrow (come on NOA2!)

April 25, 2007 - USCIS Received my RFE info and case has resumed processing

April 26, 2007 - Touched, April 27, 2007 - Touched, April 28, 2007 - TOUCHED AGAIN!

May 10, 2007 - NOA2 Email notification (It took 56 days)

May 16, 2007 - Received NOA2 Notice in snail mail

May 18, 2007 - Received Letter from NVC that they are sending our packet to Juarez Consulate this week

May 26, 2007 - Received Fiance Packet!!!!!!

June 5, 2007 - Medical

June 6, 2007 - Interview at Juarez - Visa Denied (Fiance admitted to smoking marijuana cigarette 6 months before the interview, labeled a 'DRUG ADDICT")

November 18, 2009: I sent an inquiry thru the Juarez website asking about our upcoming end to our ban, what to do etc.

December 14, 2009 - Received a reply from the consulate saying that they will forward a request to the immigration department to request a new appt

December 16, 2009 - Received an email from the consulate saying they are ready for my fiance to come for an open appt anytime

February 2, 2010 - Medical - Trip back to Psych far away in dirty office

February 3, 2010 - Pick up Medical Results

February 4, 2010 - Interview, given form 221(g) "Admin Review" and to come back in 6 months for another medical examination. #######.

It would probably be worth a few dollars to talk with The Law Office of Laurel Scott

http://www.visacentral.net

She can consult over the phone for a minimal fee and she is extremely good at what she does. You don't want any more mistakes this time. I am not saying you need to hire a lawyer for the whole process but at least I would consult with a very good one and make sure Edgar knows exactly what to say in the interview this time.
