I accidentally submitted Ds-156, I just wanted to see how its filled out and instead of printing the format I accidentally submitted, I wanted to send it to my fiance so he could follow the steps and instead of printing I made a terrible error. I just want to kick myself in the rear for doing that. I just need to know if I could use it when my K visa is approved or should I call uscis and let them know of the error? please help this is killing me! :bonk::bonk::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Filed: Timeline

they probably won't even mind you sending it....they will probably just keep that in your file. so don't worry about...you need that form i assumed for his meds and interview(not sure about this...just check VJ list for K1 interview req.) goodluck

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

This is no problem at all, because when you submit it you should be able to print it, it's not going anywhere, each DS-156 prints with a barcode. I had the forms filled out already before my NOA2. So it's good to practice filling them out now, and No need to worry though!!! I filled out God knows how many DS-156 on different dates for my fiance and his daughter, submitted them, printed them, and it made no difference to our process or interview even though each time I filled a new one out, it had a barcode that was different. But I only used the last DS-156 that I filled out (the revised ones). At first, I was worried it would delay the delivery or process of the visa, but this was not the case. Passports were in hand 4 business days after the interview.

OMG girl you are a life saver, and you happened to be there everytime I have a question, thank you love! I have another question, if you pay the AOS online why is there so many other fees associated with the visa, like the Banco popular, and the consulate, How much money is the government want us to pay to have our love ones here. I am budget here and everything including the plane ticket its about $3k. I'm going LOCA here!

no problem hun! And you can't pay the AOS fee online, you pay that once you get married and you send your forms for your fiance to adjust his status. You're going to send the I-485(AOS), I-765(Employment Authorization Document), and I-131(Advance Parole/Travel Document). It's defitenely more costly to file for the K1, the only benefit is that you get to marry your SO here in the US, and sometimes it gets processed quicker. I don't know why there are so many fees, I guess it's like that everywhere, but you're right, by the time your fiance comes, you will spending about 3K,maybe more. I tell you this, because I have spent ALOT of money so far. But I had broke down the fees at another member's post, and these are the fees my fiance and I paid after the NOA2.

$160.00 - banco popular receipt for EACH K1/K2 applicant

$15.00 - banco popular receipt for any K1 applicant 18 or older (so it only applies to your fiance)

$80.00 - K1/K2 visa cost for each applicant(this is paid at the day of the interview)

$350.00 - medical exam & vaccines for your fiance (total price)

$1,070.00 - AOS for your fiance (this fee includes the application for the AP & EAD)

The medical exam and vaccines cost varies on the time of the year that you go. If your fiance goes on or after August 21st but before April 30th, it will be around $350 because it's flu season. If he goes any day between May 1st-August 20th then it will be around $290 because it's not flu season.
