A DS-230 disaster

It was a week yesterday that our DS-230 was FedEx'd to the NVC so I called yesterday to check on the status.

The I-864 took around a week to complete so I thought the DS-230 would be about the same time. I was told that there was a mistake on question #30 (previous addreses lived at for more than 6 months at a time) so now we have to wait for further instructions as to what to send in - 3 to 5 business days.

The representative at the NVC told me the DS-230 Part 1 (pages 1 and 2) needs to be re-sent to the NVC (via FedEx again as it has a signature and can't be emailed).

My wife and I decided to re-send the DS-230 without waiting for the NVC (Cover letter + DS-230 barcoded cover sheet + DS-230 Part 1 signed).

Anyone else out there done this without waiting for the NVC to make contact?

Do not send anythg now as NVC will send u an email with instructions what to do next and after u receive the mail take printout of that email and attach with ur New DS-230 form. But u can prepare ur New DS-230 form and keeep everythg ready now. As ur e mail arrives jus take printout of that and send immediately at NVC.

Sending ur DS230 now with cover letter will mess up ur case.
