Hello

I will be really appreciated for your help, if you can do so.

I recently got married in Bangkok, Thailand on Feb.16th 2012.

well, the marriage was just to register me and wife at the district office, but me and my wife haven't done official ceremony yet...... (you know i was just a student and not much financial resources to get the ceremony done.....) however, I am planning to do the ceremony in near future.

my wife is living in thailand for now, and I am getting it ready to file I-130 forms and all the other documents.

I just have some question in mind.

What is considered as an evidence of a bonafide marriage?

I do not have any joint account or ownership with her because she is living in thailand and i live in NYC. I didn't realize this thing unitl i came back to the U.S.A

a lease or joint financial disclosures, I also do not have those yet. should I make one up or It will be fine if i don't include these things?

also, what evidences are considered as ongoing marriage relationships? I have some pictures that I took with her when I was in Thailand and other countries nearby. and I saved chatting dialogues with her and e-mail correspodences. these are all the evidences? or should I prepare for more?

I know it is so many questions but, I will be really appreicated for you guys help. It is not really easy to get this done by myself.......

This is a big question with tons of different answers, and asked many times here. I'm a newbie here too, and just sent my I-130, but it seems everyone varies in what they send to USCIS. Factors on what is sent depends on what country the beneficiary is from, how long you have known each other, and other individual circumstances. Search the forums for "evidence of bona fide marriage" or "secondary evidence" and you will get thousands of posts. Read them...all of them if you can. I also recommend you read the "Stupid RFE thread" that's a sticky post on this forum. Since you just recently married, and relatively young, I think UCSIS knows you will only have so much documentation available, and being a student, I don't think you will have a 401(k) account (for example).

Some people from "high fraud" countries send documentation inches high, some people send significantly less. I would see what people with beneficiary from Thailand typically send, and if they are considered a "high fraud" country. Below is the list of the evidence of bona fide marriage I sent with my I-130 recently, and "front-loaded" it as much as possible, which means putting more things in there than may be necessary. But I have no idea if I should've include more, or if I will still get an RFE later. Good luck.

Items I sent for my I-130 package

1. Form I-130 / Money order in the amount of $420.00 for the application fee.

2. Copy of U.S. Spouse’s U.S. Passport (all pages).

3. Copy of U.S. Spouse’s Certificate of Naturalization.

4. Copy of Certificate of Marriage.

5. G-325A Biographic Information of Petitioner.

6. G-325A Biographic Information of Beneficiary.

7. One (1) color photo of petitioner and one (1) color photo of beneficiary.

A. Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance.

8. Five (5) affidavits affirming our bona fide marriage.

9. Letter from petitioner’s employer confirming beneficiary as the sole benefactor of the petitioner’s life insurance policy.

10. Copy of Wedding Ceremony Invitation.

11. Photos as secondary evidence of bona fide marriage.

12. Confirmation beneficiary is sole benefactor of petitioner’s 401(k) proceeds in the event of petitioner’s death.

13. Copy of wire transfer in the amount of $xxxxxxx to the beneficiary’s bank account from petitioner’s bank account.

14. Copy of Airline boarding passes of trips taken together and visits.

15. Copy of letter confirming beneficiary is authorized user to petitoiner’s credit card.

16. Copy of receipts from hotels on trips taken together.

17. Phone logs from Google Voice VOIP service.

18. Phone logs from MagicJack VOIP service.

19. Phone logs from Skype VOIP and online chat service.

20. Phone logs from Rebtel VOIP service.
