I am confused as to what foreign police certificates I will need to get ready for interview. I read on the US embassy London website that I will need certificates from all countries I have lived in for more than 12 months. See the link

http://london.usembassy.gov/document_checklist.html#police_certificate

However, on the travel.state.gov website it states I'll need them for countries I've lived in for more than 6 months. See link:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#6

Has anyone had first hand experience of this? When it is time for my London interview, what will I be required to bring? I want to be as organised as possible. Are the K1 rules universal or are they embassy-specific like I thought?

Any help really appreciated!
