Dumb Car radio question

We have a lil car with a crappy radio I would like to get hubby a cheap car radio plus CD player to replace it.

OK so I know nothing and have a few really dumb questions

(i) is the hole it goes in the same size in all cars

(ii) what do I need to ask/ know/ find out

(iii) helppppppppppp

I'm not looking for anything fancy if he can hear his footy and I can listen to a CD we'll both be happy so looking at real basic (just like the car lol)

Aug 29th Biometrics Appt Letter arrived

Sept 24th email notice of Approval - card ordered !!!!!!

circuit city has a installation dept. I believe. they have adapters for the different sizes.

Crutchfield has good info. Put your car make, model and year and it will tell you what fits. You can order from them or just use them for research.
