Marriage certificate questions

Hi,

So I asked a few days ago if we need a new original marriage certificate, many of you told me that I should try and get another original copy.

Well apparently it's not so easy, and I'm not even sure I can ever get another "original" marriage certificate. They can give me a copy of my marriage certificate (probably stamped with something saying it's a copy), but I can't actually get my hands on a NEW physical copy of my marriage certificate. Things aren't run so smoothly overseas and dealing with government agencies is like pulling teeth. Apparently we got our original copy and not sure if we can ever get a replacement.

My original certificate was sent off with my husbands paperwork, and I haven't seen it since we filed at the consulate in Israel.

Should I submit a form called G-884 - Return of Original Documents ?? Or should I hope for the best, that USCIS has our certificate in his file and won't ask me to produce another one. I don't wwant to submit a G884, if they need that stuff in my husband's file. I also don't want to get an RFE asking for original marriage certificate, if we can't get ahold of one.

What should I do?

I plan on filing in June, so I have a month to sort it all out.

This is where we called, and they don't give new originals, just a copy. We were given our originals from the Rabbanut a long time ago, and I gave it to the Officer at the consulate. So now I'm stuck. I want to get the original back...if they will allow us...even though husband isn't naturalized yet.
