Hello, I'm new on this forum and I need your advice for a problem with my J1 visa application.

First of all, sorry if my english is not perfect but I'm from France and I'm still trying to improve it.

I was arrested on a presumption of a DUI in July 2011. Unfortunately for me it was a mistake from the police officer, in fact, when I was arrested this night, the cops thought that I took some drugs because my pupils was dilated. Furthermore when he asked me to breath in the alcohol test I was at 0.02. I asked them to take my blood and I was in jail for one night.

One month later, after they finally received the result of blood test, the DA and the judge decided to drop the charge against me and I got a paper from the court office and from DMV telling that everything is clear.

In December 2011 I went back to the US and asked for a petition to seal and destroy all my record that was granted by the police officer.

When last week, I went to the consulate of Montréal to ask for my J1 visa, they gave me a 221g with the requirement to see a psychologist and a physician because that's the law if I was arrested (That's what the Consular Officer told me...).

The fact is that I'm not an alcoholic and I never took some drugs. I saw the psychologist today and I will see the physician on monday. The physician will give me the seal envelop with the result of all the tests and I will need to go back to the consulate with this one.

So I have a couple questions about it:

- Does there is someone how had the same problem than me and can give me his feedback?

- Does the consular officer should give me an answer when I will be back with the envelop or I will need to wait?

- What do you think about it? Do I have a chance that they accept my visa because I'm innocent in this story...?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sonny
