Let's take a break from Visa-K1 discussion and talk about Vietnamese Women, (wives, fiancee)

I have to tell you that my financee from the Mekong Delta, she is so beautiful, so nice, ... I mean, she is hot!

How are yours?

My wife is beautiful, funny, cooks and cooks great as well. I love her dearly but I also think Vietnamese women can be rather bossy and a bit illogical at times. But nevertheless, I love her and you gotta take the bad with the good.

I noticed that with mine also. Strange huh. Does your expect to have pictures taken all the time like mine.

Absolutely. Photos are like trophies to her even if she's not in them herself. Lately she's gotten me into making videos as she's addicted to having me sing cheesy love songs and post them onto Youtube for her convenience. I've actually been impressed with how easy it is to make movies in Windows Live Movie Maker. I wouldn't admit it to her (as she'd never let me hear the end of it) but doing simple, self-made movies was a great idea when we're too busy to Skype.

I used to think it was just a peculiar compulsion of my wife to do this but I noticed it must be a common habit for Vietnamese women to delicately hold onto the nearest flower.

It's pathological, the same thing as the Japanese making that peace sign in photos, which unfortunately is starting to be emulated by young VNese people as well.

I used to think it was just a peculiar compulsion of my wife to do this but I noticed it must be a common habit for Vietnamese women to delicately hold onto the nearest flower, bush or tree when getting their photo taken (usually for solo shots). It's also funny that the women in my wife's family will do this more often than actually smiling in their photos ( I call it their Poker-Photo Face). :)
