hi everyone im just new here and i need your help i just wanna ask if someone knows a good lawyer here in the philippines that can help me correct NSO marriage certificate problems.Me and my hubby(USC)got married in civil ceremony here in the Philippines last Nov.2011 and the Judge that married us screwed our marriage certificate because he put a wrong address in my address.I live here in Taguig and He registered it in San Juan so he just put San Juan in my address which i didnt know at all and he explain that its not possible that he can change it because it is already registered in San Juan.He made an affidavit of explanation that it is not my address but still its not enough i guess and I went to San Juan Local Civil Registry office to change my address to Taguig City, and they explain to me that in Philippine Law you need to be San Juan City resident if your marriage certificate is registered in San Juan City. The judge never ever explained that to me and im so mad because i give him the correct form and when i signed it i didnt notice that he changed my address which is my fault too because i didnt read it again.I didnt put that wrong address in G325a because its not my address and i never live there in my entire life and i dont wanna lie about that when my interview comes.now i got my NSO marriage certificate but i still got the wrong address and im worrying about this whole thing and i dont know what to do :( .I wanna correct it before my interview comes..any reply is much appreciated..thanks in advance..

Sounds like a real mess you have on your hands. Is it even possible for a lawyer to get that address corrected, is the real question? Seems strange the very judge that married you and made the mistake was not able to get the mistake corrected with an affidavit from his own hands.

You have some time to try to fix this before any interview, would the judge be willing to give you a notarized affidavit?

hi, do not stress. that is how they really do it. we got married in manila and so they had to put that we both lived in san juan for that matter. however, my husband didn't put that address in any of the forms he filled out for his us visa application because he didn't really live there. they didn't question him about it. he got his visa now.

You're welcome!

It looks like you'll be ok, at least you have a notarized affidavit if there's ever a question.
