Hello,

We are just starting to fill out the 1-130 forms and I have a few questions, if anyone can give me a little information it would be greatly appreciated !

Just a little background info: My husband is a Costa Rican Citizen but worked in the U.S. for 4 years (where we met) when his visa expired he returned to Costa Rica.

C9. U.S. Social Security Number

My husband had a ssn # while working in the U.S. but he is no longer there and it states on the card that the # is only valid while he is working. Therefore, I would assume I would put none or N/A since he doesn't have a VALID SSN#?

C10. Alien Registration Number

I have heard that he would not have an A Number just from a work visa. I just want to make sure this is true.

C14.

He had an 1-94 when he went to the US to work but is not currently in the US (it states to complete the following, if your relative is currently in the US) I know that's probably a no brainer, but I just want to make sure it's ok to leave it blank (since I can't write N/A or none in those little number boxes)

C17. List husband or wife and all children

If I only use one line is it ok to leave the rest blank or do I have to write none or N/A in all the spots?

C21. Last address at which you lived together.

He lived with me for 6 months while he was working in the US on his visa and when it expired I returned to Costa Rica with him and will be staying her until August when I have to go back to start school (a total of about 8 months - I leave the country every 90 days for 72 hours and have my visa renewed) and last year I stayed with him in Costa Rica for 3 months. Does any of that count as "living together" I thought it might be a good idea to just put a little explanation on the continuation sheet, is that a bad idea?

Sorry it's so many questions, I just want to make sure everything is PERFECT.

Thank you so much to anyone that can help!!!

Therefore, I would assume I would put none or N/A since he doesn't have a VALID SSN#? You put down the SSN he was assigned. That's his SSN for life even if he is not authorized to work in the US.

C10. Alien Registration Number

I have heard that he would not have an A Number just from a work visa. I just want to make sure this is true. Write in N/A.

C14.

C17. List husband or wife and all children

If I only use one line is it ok to leave the rest blank or do I have to write none or N/A in all the spots? Leave them blank. Make sure he list all his children even if they are not immigrating with him.

C21. Last address at which you lived together.

Does any of that count as "living together" I thought it might be a good idea to just put a little explanation on the continuation sheet, is that a bad idea? Use your US address. Since you were not authorized to "live" in Costa Rica, you should consider this time as visiting him. No harm in mentioning your many and prolong visits in the continuation sheet.

Sorry it's so many questions, I just want to make sure everything is PERFECT.

Thank you so much to anyone that can help!!!
