A little background first.

I am currently involved with a US national. She is working and is well paid.

I am in the UK and have just been made redundant. Not a great payout but hey.

I intend to apply for a b2 visa for the whole six months so we can spend some serious time together prior to deciding on marriage etc. My concern is that as I am not working I will not have strong enough ties with the UK apart from family and returning to look for work etc.

I also understand that if the decline the b2 app I lose access to the waiver program.

Any help or advise would be appreciated as I seem to be going in circles at the moment.
