Does anyone have any idea how long it would take to complete the CR-1 process if we use a lawyer? What I Really want to know is do you think it would still be approximately 6-12 months or longer?

No lawyer can speed up the process. The USCIS handles cases on the basis of when the petition was submitted regardless of who prepared it.

The process takes 6 - 12 months. Whether it's closer to 6 or 12 depends largely on 1. How backlogged the USCIS service center is, 2. How well prepared you are for the NVC stage, and 3. How soon you can get an interview at your local consulate.

If subject to a 10 year ban, the visa will be denied at the consulate and you'll need an extreme hardship waiver, which will add extra time.
