So Im hopefully going to be with my fiance for the interview in auckland, anyone recommend any hotels nearby? Hes from the south island so he won;t know either. Thanks :) Also, side question, for any of u that had your fiance(e) with you at the interview do u feel it made the process easier and/or faster?

Hi Jamie .. so exciting being able to think about the next steps ....

I haven't stayed there, but there is a Mercure Hotel in Customs St in Auckland - if you can get a good rate, it is just over the road and about 25 metres along from the US Consulate. So if you're just here for a short time, you'd save on transport once you're in the city. You're also close to the Viaduct which is a nice place to spend time, cafes, overlooks the harbour etc. Here's the AA link which may help. http://www.aatravel.co.nz/main/listing.php?listingId=69742

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
