Hi everyone! I got a question about my job while applying for a K-1 visa.

I'm from Hong Kong and I'm currently waiting for the NOA2 and hopefully it will be arrived soon. I talked to the company I'm currently working for and they got no problem of me moving to the US and still keep the job since it's all computer works. They will treat me as a work-at-home employee and will still pay me to my bank account here and I will still have to pay the taxes here. I also called up the Hong Kong labor department and explained my situation to them and they said they do not see any problems with that.

The only concern now is that if I could still work in the US (at home) for this job when I arrived before I apply for AOS?

Thank you for your help :)

Disclaimer(not an expert)...there are restrictions about you working for US employers. I don't believe there is anything about you working from your home country, but the US (Internal Revenue Service...IRS) will expect you to report the income next year and pay taxes (form 2555). Keep your job you will definitely need the income and it will do alot for your self esteem.
