Is there a reason, also, that other countries, like Spain, get processed w/in a week?

I don't know the exact reason but, Dominican Republic also seems to be processes faster than other countries. I think it's because of the amount of interviews they can schedule compared to another facility. .For example: in DR, its normal to see 300 or more people in the embassy building interviewing or there for related reasons on any given day. Because they are able to see so many people, they need to be "fed" petitions in order to keep up. Other embassy's may not have the same space to accommodate so many interviewing, therefore the process does not need to be rushed as quickly in order to get the petitions through.

Again, I'm not positive on this but I've been looking at this for a while and it seems like a legit answer.
