for those that are not familiar with how a date stamp works on most digital cameras. its called exif data. most digial cameras store the make, model time of photo taken and date.

time to photo. that should retrieve your cameras date and photo info.

Yes, true, but not all software and/or cameras will stamp the exif date/time on the photo. Also, many cameras will not export the exif data by default, and then it is lost forever. Usually photos exported in RAW format contain the exif, but most cameras delete it when exporting as a jpg.

Date/Time stamp is nice to have if its already printed on the photo, but its not really usefull as evidence. The Exif data can easily be easily changed in any off the shelf photo editing software to read anything that you want.
