Hi All:

Anyone has done DCF lately in Delhi, India.....I am planning to file soon for my wife and would like to know the info abt where to stay in nearby Hotels from US embassy since I am not from delhi but will be going there with my wife to file.

Also, is there any recent experience from Delhi DCF ? how long does it take ? (Our jurisdiction would be in Mumbai so case will be forwarded to Mumbai)

Thanks in advance............

Raj

You may find more info about hotels etc in the Foreign Embassy forum; maybe K-1ers etc have some input for you.

Sorry, I haven't seen India timelines posted in ages..

Hi Raj,

Cant comment on the DCF time status, but if you are coming to stay in Delhi and would like to stay near the embassy area, you could try a few hotels, For the five star hotels near the embassy area you could try:

1. Maurya Sheraton

2. Taj Palace (Not Taj mansingh, though even thats not far)

3. Hyatt Regency (not the Grand Hyatt, alhtough thats just another 15 mts away)

4. Ashoka (not recommended - not good value for money)

If you would like info on other smaller hotels, please feel free to PM me or I can post them here, would just need to ask my colleagues in the area, I just moved back here from Mumbai, so dont know the details of the smaller hotels

hey

im here in delhi

only places near embassy are not cheap

if you wanted something more reasonable you could go to GK1 area - just south - only a short auto ride away. Theres a place called Rani Castle that I havent stayed in myself but it gets reccoemended to many people that come to visit by my old office (WHO).

theres also a place in golf links (a bit further) that is called Ahuja Residency - its 193 golf links. This i did stay in myself (its a bit further away from embassy though). this one i think is about $50 a day and nice nice.

hope this helps you.

send me a pm if you have more questions.
