thanks for helping me on this one guys..im trying to figure this out im getting ready to send to my fiance all the goodies of paper work of the 129f original docs..and starting the i-134 i know that i dont qualify last year i only made abt 17k on w-2...and my fiance has a child as well...my dad will co-sponsor but he made about 30k last year..will this be a problem..i was reading past archives in visa journey and some say 125% is the guide line and some say a 100% is the minimal..help me please....thank you guys for ur time and info good luck in all your visa journeys...by the way if it helps im going to juarez mexico :wacko:

The I-134 requires 100% of the poverty level - however, for some embassies, for the K-1, they know you will need to support the I-864 for the AOS at 125% - so they require you to have that amount at least for the initial visa.

Your best bet is to beat the level by 125%, if you can't - get a co-sponsor that can.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
