Hi

I hope someone has a confident answer about this... I am a U.S. citizen sponsoring my Russian fiancée on a K1 visa. My petition has been approved (in only 3.5 months) and sent to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. She is now gathering all the required documents and completing all the required forms in preparation for her interview. Correction: I am actually the one completing the documents with information she is providing me.

My fiancée has a 19 year old son. When I filed for her K1 petition he was not willing to join her, so I did not file for his K2 with her K1. Now she has persuaded him to agree to join her later (but still before he turns 21).

Several forms ask her to list "persons accompanying OR FOLLOWING..." (see examples quoted below).

QUESTION: Should we list her son as someone "following" even though we have not filed any previous petitions for her visa?

On the one hand, she does hope he will join us later. But to me these questions sound more like they want the names of others following later – with fairly specific plans... In other words, they have also applied for a visa and will follow a week or a month later... Not someone who MAY POSSIBLY apply for a visa later.

What do you think?

Thanks much in advance for your help!

Bob
